Characteristics of Verderol oil

Verderol is a green olive oil, with intense colour and flavour, and certified by the Appellation of Origin as being composed of Arbequina (dominant), with a small percentage of Empeltre and Piqual. The Arbequina contributes great smoothness and a wealth of herbal aromas; Piqual is more intense and very stable (It is considered the best oil in the world for frying). As for Empeltre, it is the most traditional Mallorquin oil, with a characteristic flavour and with intermediate stability. Verderol’s coupage combines the advantages of the three varieties.
